Dear Reader,
As you know, this blog site is branded Looking for God #HEISEVERYWHERE, so please allow me to share with you through the prayer God dropped in my spirit this morning how I found HIM…in laughter.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of genuine smiles and laughter. When we experience genuine, joyful smiles and laughter, it’s like at that moment we let go of our false sense of control, our anxiety, worry, fear, doubt, sadness, depression, disappointments, and anything else that threatens the gladness of our heart. There is a reason why it was important to mention in Proverbs 31 (verse 25) that the woman could “laugh at the days to come.” There is something spiritual about laughing whether from a good place or a bad place. Check our hearts, Father, because Sarah also laughed when she overheard Your promise (Genesis 18:12-15)! Sift our hearts, Father! Let us be more like the Proverbs 31 woman. Let our laughter come from a place of joyful trust in You and not from a place of bitter cynicism! When we laugh in the midst of others, the place where it’s coming from is often felt by others. Since we can testify that the spirit we carry can rub off on people, it’s like our laughter is our ministry. Bitter laughter can discourage the heart, but joyful laughter from a place of trust in You can uplift the spirit and encourage. Father, in times when we feel like we don’t have much to give, let us remember that even our laughter carries power. We love You Father! Operate on our heart, mind, and spirit so that our laughter will help build your kingdom and not help tear it down. In Jesus’s name. Amen! ❤❤❤
(The New Living Translation of the Holy Bible says in Proverbs 31:25 “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”)
Thank you for reading. Please share this with other women and people. You never know who needs it. Be Holy Spirit-led. I love you with the love of the Lord Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Remember that God is not confined to the walls of a church building. HE is everywhere, even …in laughter.
